EMERALD International Summer School on: \u201c3D printing in bio-mechatronics\u201d is organized at the University of Agder (Norway) in the frame of EMERALD 21-COP-0019 project by the experts of the EMERALD consortium, which are coming from different European Technical Universities (TU of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), TU Poznan (Poland), Politehnica University of Bucharest (Romania), University of Agder (Norway) and one private company (BIZZCOM s.r.o. of Slovakia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer school is organized and addressed to students and professors that are coming from University Institutes of EU and non-EU countries. Places are not limited just for the EMERALD consortium partner\u2019s institutes; any student, scientist, researcher or professor who intends to apply is more than welcome to apply to the EMERALD International Summer School 2022 edition. The activities of this event that is organized \u201efree of charge\u201d are scheduled to be held with physical presence at the University of Agder (Norway) in the period 12-23.09.2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main aim of the EMERALD International Summer School 2022 edition<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The main aim is to bring together professors, students, industrial and medical organizations and institutes in order to share knowledge and good practice experience and expertise in developing, producing and testing of bio-mechatronic systems that are about to be realized for people with special needs (amputated arms) using modern manufacturing methods (3D printing technologies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Content of the EMERALD International Summer School<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The EMERALD International summer school intends to be very dynamic and interactive for students and professors that will be involved in the activities that are scheduled to be organized in these two weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main principles of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), 3D printing and Rapid Tooling methods, Mechanical and Medical tests, Inteligent (smart) materials, Sensors and electronics and Computer Programming combined with modern methods of  Virtual Reality \/ Augmented Reality programming are aimed to be provided at the EMERALD International Summer School by the professors involved in the organizing of this event (2022 edition). Who can apply to the EMERALD International Summer School?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Professors<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bachelor students (BSc)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Master students (MSc) and PhD students<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligible specializations are<\/strong>: Manufacturing Engineering, Bio-Mechatronics and Robotics, Mechanical engineering, Bio-mechanical Engineering, Science of Materials, Computer Science and Automatics<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good English language skills is required (level B2 is recommended)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can anyone apply to the EMERALD International Summer School?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In order to apply to the EMERALD International Summer School, it is enough to simply fulfill the Attendance Form<\/a><\/strong> with all data requested but not later than 9th of September 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which are the main benefits of attending participants to the EMERALD International Summer School?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

All participants will receive certificate of participation to the EMERALD International Summer School<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practical activity scheduled for the students in their curriculum for the summer period will be recognized within the participating institutes of the EMERALD consortium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Possibility to work on different topics related to 3D printing technologies \/ bio-mechatronics \/ medical applications for diploma projects \/ MSc \/ PhD thesis is going to be ensured by the EMERALD consortium experts for all participants to the EMERALD International Summer School which have the intention in continuing their work in this domain in the next following years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
