In the frame of the EMERALD 21-COP-0019 project financed by Norwegian funds within the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA), the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca<\/strong>, as leading institution of this project, together with the partners of the EMERALD project consortium, will organize on the date of February 17, 2023 the “Multiplier Event on Applied Research Methods for 3D Printing in Bio-Mechatronics “.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration and participating to this event is \u201efree of charge\u201d,<\/strong> the organized event being mainly addressed to professors, students, researchers, surgeons and scientists<\/strong> coming from different university institutions belonging to EU or non-EU countries, as well as to private companies and research and development institutions<\/strong> that are specially interested and are activating in the field of manufacturing engineering<\/strong> (3D printing, bio-mechatronics and robotics), IT domain<\/strong>, regional development agencies, clusters, NGOs<\/strong>, or any other public and private institutions<\/strong> which is or could be interested by the latest trends on advanced manufacturing technologies, IT sector and the medical field (health sector in particular), etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main aim of the EMERALD Multiplier Event organized at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main aim<\/strong> of this event is to present the main concept of the EMERALD project, as well as the methods and practical solutions that were developed within this project regarding the realizing of different types of biomimetic mechatronic systems that were specially conceived , designed and realized for people with special needs (amputated arms),<\/strong> aspects presented in detail within different toolkit manuals<\/strong> that were produced by the EMERALD consortium as result of the IO2 intellectual output in the frame of the EMERALD project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organized event also aims<\/strong> to create the necessary framework for all participants of this important event to share knowledge, examples of good practice, gained experience and expertise that each institution has in the field of designing and manufacturing of biomechatronic systems for people with special needs ( amputated arms) using modern manufacturing methods (such as 3D printing methods), this being done in the form of practical demonstrations (live 3D printing processes that are going to be presented by different companies which will be present at this organized event, round table discussions, etc<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of this event, it is intended to officially<\/strong> constitute the European Network  for 3D Printing of Biomimetic Mechatronic Systems – EMERALD,<\/strong> as one final result of this meeting organized within the EMERALD project, this network being aimed to be comprised by various companies that are activating in the manufacturing engineering domain, mechatronic field, IT sector, as well as by higher education national and international institutions, research centers, regional development agencies, public or private institutions<\/strong>, etc, this network being aimed to be used as one of the most important tool for building strategic partnerships to commonly join and prepare of important national and international strategic and institutional research projects that can be further on developed on different common topics of interests in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to register to the EMERALD Multiplier Event organized on February 17, 2023 at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), it is enough as one first step to fulfill the Attending form<\/a><\/strong> with all the data requested in the form, but not later than February 14, 2023 .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional information regarding the exact location<\/strong> where the EMERALD multiplier event organized on 17.02.2023 will be held within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), respectively regarding the preliminary agenda<\/strong> of the EMERALD event, will be communicated by email to all people who have completed the Attending form<\/a><\/strong>, respectively on the website of the EMERALD project at the beginning of February 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
