EMERALD International Summer School on: „Virtual e-learning platform experience in Bio-Mechatronics” is organized at the University of Agder (Norway) in the frame of EMERALD 21-COP-0019 project by the experts of the EMERALD consortium, which are coming from different European Technical Universities (TU of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), TU Poznan (Poland), Politehnica University of Bucharest (Romania), University of Agder (Norway) and one private company (BIZZCOM s.r.o. of Slovakia).
Summer school is organized and addressed to students and professors that are coming from University Institutes of EU and non-EU countries. Places are not limited just for the EMERALD consortium partner’s institutes; any student, scientist, researcher or professor who intends to apply is more than welcome to apply to the EMERALD International Summer School 2023 edition. The activities of this event that is organized „free of charge” are scheduled to be held with physical presence at the University of Agder (Norway) in the period 28.08-4.09.2023.

Main aim of the EMERALD International Summer School 2023 edition
The main aim is to bring together professors, students, industrial and medical organizations and institutes in order to share knowledge and good practice experience and expertise in developing of VR, AR and Mixed Reality applications that are destined to be used for the conceiving of the EMERALD e-learning platform that will be destined to offer to the participants the necessary knowledge and skills concerning the developing, manufacturing and testing of bio-mechatronic systems for people with special needs (amputated arms) to be realized using modern manufacturing methods (3D printing technologies).
Content of the EMERALD International Summer School
The EMERALD International summer school intends to be very dynamic and interactive for students and professors that will be involved in the activities that are scheduled to be organized in these two weeks.
The main information details and principles related to the programming and conceiving of concrete applications to be realized in Virtual Reality / Augmented Reality / Mixed Reality are aimed to be provided at the EMERALD International Summer School by the professors involved in the organizing of this event (2023 edition). Who can apply to the EMERALD International Summer School?
- Professors
- Bachelor students (BSc)
- Master students (MSc) and PhD students
Eligible specializations are: Manufacturing Engineering, Bio-Mechatronics and Robotics, Mechanical engineering, Bio-mechanical Engineering, Science of Materials, Computer Science and Automatics.
Good English language skills is required (level B2 is recommended)
